CCSA Announces Women's Swimmer and Diver of the Week - Nov. 20

Charlotte, N.C. (TheCCSA.com) – Florida Gulf Coast senior Christina Kaas Elmgreen (Charlottenlund, Denmark) has been named the CCSA Women's Swimmer of the Week for meets contested Nov. 12-18, the CCSA announced Tuesday. In addition, Georgia Southern's Katie Knight (Bishop, Ga.) has been named the Women's Diver of the Week for the second time this season.

Elmgreen made two NCAA B cuts last weekend at the Georgia Tech Invite, both in the 100 fly (53.60) and 200 fly (1:58.01). Her 100 fly time is currently the fastest by a CCSA swimmer this season, and her 200 fly sits second. After this past weekend, Elmgreen is the only swimmer in the CCSA with multiple NCAA B cuts.

Knight set a school record in the platform diving at the Liberty Invitational last weekend with a score of 172.58. She also set a season best in the 1-meter dive at 258.75 for a fifth-place finish.

Also nominated for Swimmer of the Week: Maddie Baiotto (Campbell), Mackenzie Brown (Georgia Southern), Alicia Finnigan (Liberty), Jacqueline Barklund (North Florida) and Skylar Rogan (UNC Asheville).

Also nominated for Diver of the Week: Megan Wakefield (Florida Gulf Coast) and Olivia Robinson (Liberty).
