CCSA Announces Women's Swimmer and Diver of the Week - Oct. 24

Charlotte, N.C. (TheCCSA.com) – UNC Asheville senior Morgan Rulevich (Lake Wylie, S.C.) has been named the CCSA Women's Swimmer of the Week for meets contested Oct. 15-21. In addition, Georgia Southern's Katie Knight (Bishop, Ga.) is the Women's Diver of the Week, the CCSA announced Wednesday.

Rulevich shined last weekend with seven total wins as the Bulldogs squared off against two conference opponents, Georgia Southern on Friday then North Florida on Saturday. She took the 50 free in both meets with her fastest time coming against the Eagles with a time of 23.70. Rulevich also claimed the 100 free (51.69) and the 100 breast (1:06.87) against Georgia Southern, and the 200 breast (2:25.16) in the meet with the Ospreys.  

Knight helped the Eagles claim a dual meet win over fellow CCSA school UNC Asheville on Saturday by capturing the 3-meter event as she scored a 244.05. She then placed second in the 1-meter event with a 252.08. Knight's 3-meter event win is the third of her career and the first of the 2018-19 season.

Also nominated for Swimmer of the Week: Rebbeca Moynihan (Florida Gulf Coast), Madison Freeland (Howard), Alicia Finnigan (Liberty) and Camryn Greenleaf (North Florida).

Also nominated for Diver of the Week: Megan Wakefield (Florida Gulf Coast) and Olivia Robinson (Liberty).
