CCSA Announces Men's Swimmer and Diver of the Week - Nov. 6

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (TheCCSA.com) – Old Dominion junior Filip Svedburg (Burtrask, Sweden) has been named the CCSA Men's Swimmer of the Week for meets contested Oct. 29-Nov. 4. In addition, Florida Atlantic's Logan Downey (Plantation, Fla.) is the Men's Diver of the Week for the second time this season, the CCSA announced Tuesday.

Svedberg took the title in both the 50 and 100 freestyle at Davidson last week. He won the 50 free in a time of 21.59 and the 100 free in 47.04. Svedberg also claimed victory in the 100 fly, where he touched the wall in 49.88.

Downey had another solid weekend of diving against Princeton and Boston College last Friday, then versus Boston College in Miami on Saturday. He secured one first-place and three second-place finishes for the Owls. On Friday, Downey delivered season-best scores in the one and 2-meter dives, scoring 326.85 and 322.60, respectively. He then followed that up with two second-place finishes on Saturday.
