ATLANTA, Ga. - The Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) announced on Friday that the 2019 CCSA Beach Volleyball Championship will once again be held at the Rally Volleyball Complex in the LakePoint Sporting Community in Emerson, Ga. for the fourth-straight year. The 2019 championship marks the fourth championship for the CCSA in the sport of Beach Volleyball. The 2019 Championship will take place on April 19-21.
CCSA Executive Director Jerome Rodgers expressed his excitement about the event coming back to LakePoint Sporting Community. "We're very excited to bring the CCSA Beach Volleyball Championship back to LakePoint and Rally Volleyball for the fourth-straight year," Rodgers said. "It is a fantastic environment for our student-athletes, and we can't wait to showcase one of the most elite beach volleyball conferences in the country in April."
The 2019 CCSA Beach Volleyball Championship will be played over the course of three days on April 19-21. All 12 league teams will travel to Emerson, Ga. and compete in pool play, with semifinals and final on the weekend. Florida State has won all three of the previous CCSA Beach Volleyball Championship and look for the four-peat this year.
Last season, the CCSA saw a record four teams reach the NCAA Tournament in FSU, LSU, FIU and South Carolina. The Tigers, Panthers and Gamecocks, along with College of Charleston, Florida Atlantic, Georgia State, Tulane, UAB, UNCW and CCSA newcomers, TCU and Southern Miss all will battle to be crowned CCSA Beach Volleyball champions for the first time.
