Norell started with the ASUN in September of 2017. He has served as the primary media contact for Volleyball, Track & Field, Women's Basketball, Women's Lacrosse, Beach Volleyball and he also served as the secondary contact for Baseball. In May of 2018, Norell took over the primary contact for baseball and helped cover and promote Stetson's first ever run to the NCAA Super Regionals. Norell also help provide full coverage of the 2018 MLB Draft, which 15 ASUN student-athletes get drafted into professional baseball. He has served as the on site media rep for the volleyball, women's basketball, women's lacrosse and beach volleyball championships. Norell also designed and created the 2018 ASUN Conference Hall of Fame cards.

Norell came to the ASUN from the Chicago Sky of the WNBA, where he worked as a Communications Intern. While with the Sky, he assisted with the creation of the team's media guide, game notes and press releases. He was also in charge of creating in-game content on the Sky's social media accounts. Norell also helped run stats and create post-game stat books. 

In addition to his work with the Sky, Norell has written for various nationally recognized websites such as SB Nation and FanSided. He specifically covered Notre Dame athletics, with an emphasis on Football and Men's Basketball. He produced game previews, recaps, opinion pieces, as well as a weekly Twitter mailbag. Norell has also worked as a contributing writer for RockChalkBlog.com, a website devoted to Kansas Men's Basketball and Football.

Norell graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind. in December of 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Communication. Before transferring to Indiana in 2013, he played baseball at Division III North Central College in Naperville, IL where he hit .348 as a freshman. Norell graduated from Marian High School in Mishawaka, Ind. in 2012. Shortly after graduating from IU, he worked as an assistant baseball coach at Marian, working closely with middle infielders. He also was in charge of the team's social media accounts. A native of Elkhart, Ind., Norell currently resides in Cartersville, Ga. He is an avid fan of the Chicago White Sox and Notre Dame Football.
