CHARLOTTE, N.C. (TheCCSA.com) – For the second time this year, Howard junior KaSandra Kaplan (Detroit, Mich.) has been named the CCSA Women’s Swimmer of the Week for meets contested Nov. 27- Dec. 3, the CCSA announced Tuesday.
Kaplan’s finishes this past weekend were some of the best in Howard’s swimming history. Her lead-off leg in the 200 free relay of 23.93 broke the school record, and along with her teammates, broke the overall relay school record and the meet record. Her 57.32 backstroke leg in the 400 medley relay also broke the school record and helped her team to another first place finish. Kaplan finished the meet with another first-place finish in the 100 fly (57.40), which was her third school record at the meet.
