CHARLOTTE, N.C. (TheCCSA.com) – Campbell senior Michelle Case (Fort Mill, S.C.) has been named the CCSA Women’s Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season for meets contested Nov. 13-19, the CCSA announced Tuesday.
Case set several school records for the Camels over the weekend at the Georgia Tech Invitational. Case swam a 23.28 in the 50 free finals to best her own school record set just last season. In the 100 free finals, Case posted a 50.98 to top her own school record by a full second. She also led off the 800 free relay with a split time of 1:51.42 (200 free) to claim a new program record. In the 400 free relay, Case, along with Hannah Kendall, Sarah Wilson and Sindija Silina, set a program record with a time of 3:25.89, finishing seventh in the event. Case, Megan Everitt, Taylore McMinn and Caroline Clark set a new school record in the 200 medley relay with a combined 1:42.87 to top the old record by two seconds. The Camels' 400 medley relay squad of Case, McMinn, Clark and Kamaria Mahone swam a 3:46.78 to top the previous school record by more than three seconds.
