Charlotte, N.C. (TheCCSA.com) – Campbell senior Sindija Silina (Valmiera, Latvia) has been named the CCSA Women’s Swimmer of the Week for meets contested Oct. 16-22, the CCSA announced Wednesday.
Silina claimed an individual victory in the 200 free against Georgia Southern and was a part of two relay victories last weekend. The Valmiera, Latvia native swam a 1:55.42 to take top honors in the 200 free in the dual meet against the Eagles. She was a part of the 200 free relay squad that earned the victory against GS with a time of 1:36.00. Against a stacked field of North Florida and FGCU at the UNF tri-meet, Silina helped CU’s 400 free relay team earn the victory with a time of 3:33.11. She swam to a second-place finish in the 200 free at the UNF tri-meet posting a 1:56.33 time, and a third place finish in the 100 free (53.37) at the same event. Silina also swam a 2:26.87 in 200 breast to finish third against the Eagles.
