CHARLOTTE, N.C. (TheCCSA.com) – Liberty senior Prudence Rooker (Forest Grove, Ore.) has been named the CCSA Women’s Swimmer of the Week for the second time in as many weeks for meets contested Jan. 15-21, the CCSA announced Tuesday.
Rooker posted three individual victories last Saturday at Marshall and swam on Liberty’s winning 200-medley relay, as the Lady Flames earned a 177-123 victory over the Thundering Herd. All three of Rooker’s individual swims were the fastest by a Lady Flame in the respective event this season. She won the 100-breaststroke in 1:03.99, then finished the 200-breaststroke in 2:18.91. Rooker completed her meet with a winning time of 2:06.06 in the 200 IM. She also swam a 29.03 in the second leg of Liberty’s winning 200-medley relay, which clocked a 1:44.79.
