CHARLOTTE, N.C. (TheCCSA.com) – Liberty senior Prudence Rooker (Forest Grove, Ore.) has been named the CCSA Women’s Swimmer of the Week for meets contested Jan. 8-14, the CCSA announced Tuesday.
Rooker played a key role in Liberty’s 160-140 win over Marshall last Saturday, winning the 100 and 200 breaststroke events, and swimming on the winning 200 medley relay and 400 free relay. In the 100 breaststroke, she beat her opponent by .06 seconds with a time of 1:04.45. She then claimed the 200 breaststroke in 2:20.37. Both her 100 and 200 breaststroke times were season-bests, with her 200 being the fastest by a Lady Flame this season. Rooker swam 29.07 for the second leg of the 200-medley relay, the fastest 50 breast split of the meet.
