CCSA ANNOUNCES WOMEN’S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (TheCCSA.com) – Campbell sophomore Michelle Case (Fort Mill, S.C.) has been named the CCSA Women’s Swimmer of the Week for meets contested Feb. 6-7, the CCSA announced Tuesday.

Case logged three individual wins for the Camels, who wrapped up their regular season Saturday, sweeping visiting UNC Wilmington and Mount St. Mary's at the Johnson Aquatic Center. Campbell topped UNCW 160-101, while defeating Mount St. Mary's 216-45.

She won the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle, and contributed to a CU win in the 200 free relay to cap off the sweep. The sophomore’s first individual victory came in the 200 free with a time of 1:55.26. Case followed with back to back event wins in the 50 free and 100 free, with a 24.45 mark and a time of 52.89, respectively. Case then closed the meet with a CU win in the 200 free relay, posting a 1:37.11.
