CCSA ANNOUNCES MEN’S SWIMMER & DIVER OF THE WEEK

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (TheCCSA.com) – Gardner-Webb senior Nathan Lile (Waynesville, N.C.) has been named the CCSA Men’s Swimmer of the Week for meets contested Jan. 29-30, while Ryan McIntire, the CCSA announced Tuesday.

Lile had his most dominant meet of the season this past weekend as he won all four of the events he swam in against Limestone College and along the way set four new Bost Natatorium Pool Records. After Saturday Lile now holds the Pool Record in the 50 Free (20.54), 100 Free (46.08), 100 Back (49.20), and he anchored the 400 Medley Relay team to a Pool Record of 3:24.79.

With just 15 days till the 2016 CCSA Conference Championships, hosted February 17-20 in Athens Ga., Lile and the rest of the Runnin' Bulldog swimmers turn their attention to resting and training for the biggest meet of their season.

McIntire grabbed a victory on the 1 Meter with a score of 318.37 in FAU’s meet against Indian River this past weekend.  He also earned second place on the 3 Meter in with a score of 335.32.

Also nominated for Men’s Swimmer of the Week: Matthew Burtez (Florida Atlantic) and Brian Capozzola (New Jersey Tech Institute).
